Sea Ranch Lakes is small, quiet, and does not have much in the way of a restaurant scene of its own — which is exactly why we hear from so many people who live there. From the village it is a couple of minutes down A1A and a short run west on Commercial Boulevard. You are here before a delivery driver from anywhere further out would have finished loading the car.
That distance matters more than it sounds. Neapolitan pizza does not travel well. The crust is thin and high in moisture, and it is at its best in the first ten minutes out of the oven — after that the steam softens the base and you lose the contrast that makes it worth eating. Living five minutes away means you can actually have it the way it is supposed to be, which most people ordering pizza in South Florida cannot.
The Sea Ranch Lakes Shopping Centre is the landmark most people orient from. We are west of it, past the Intracoastal bridge, on the north side of Commercial. Free parking directly in front, which is not something every place along this stretch can offer.
We also do a steady trade in taglieri — the cold-cut and cheese boards — for people entertaining at home. It is a thirty-dollar board that takes ten minutes to collect and looks like considerably more effort than that.
